The 2023 vintage offered an amazing cool, steady and long growing season with normal yields, allowing us the opportunity to craft a rose from numerous different vineyards across the Niagara region. Three different vineyards were harvested for this rose starting on October 5th with Gamay, October 10th with Pinot Noir and finally on November 3rd the Cabernet Franc. Each red variety was left on skins over night to get extra colour, then was direct pressed into stainless steel tanks where the juice was allowed to settle. All grape varieties were fermented separately at cool temperatures to preserve aromatics and fresh fruit. This wine was bottled in March 2024.

Winemaker’s Notes
Harvested on September 25th (Niagara Lakeshore) & October 1st (Four Mile Creek), the grapes were left to soak on skins overnight to extract colour before being gently pressed into stainless steel tanks. The juice was allowed to settle for several days before being racked off gross lees and inoculated. Fermentation was started at a cool temperature to preserve aromatics and fruit. After a portion of the wine (43%) was held in concrete for 3 months in order to build richness & texture on the palate, the 2021 Rosé was bottled in March 2022.
